Function of the PTA
What does the PTA do?
The PTA gets involved in many areas of school life that often go unrecognised by many people.
Buses
All school buses are organized and provided by the PTA. Our staff plan timetables and routes, issue bus passes, negotiate with the bus companies and generally handle any problems or complaints.
Uniforms
The PTA uniform shop is responsible for all items of uniform including design, supply and sales. When this involves almost 1,000 students of varying shapes and sizes plus the huge range of items and colours it can be realized just how difficult a task this is.
Books & Stationery
The Bookshop is another PTA outlet. It provides all of the stationery packs at the beginning of a school year which supplies students with the essentials to join their new tutor groups. It also ensures supplies are available throughout the school terms in areas from second hand text books, revision guides to pens and rulers.
The P.T.A. Office
This fully staffed office is the coordination and information centre for all that the PTA does. This handles enquiries from students, parents and teachers alike and is always a point of contact for anyone seeking help or support.
