PTA Influence at WIS

 The influence is significant.

 

Three members of the PTA committee participate on the School Council which is the organisation that helps to shape the way a school develops within the ESF system.

 

The School Council allows parents a very strong voice in the running of the school. Of course, the Principal is the ultimate head of any school but the fact that the Principal also sits on School Council and the PTA Committee means that parental views are heard and will be acted upon.

 

The School Council members of the PTA at WIS also participate directly in areas of the school such as Curriculum, Staff and Premises thus allowing intimate knowledge of what is happening on a day-to-day basis.

 

This allows a valuable flow of information to and from parents.

 

Given that a senior member of the ESF control Management also participate in School Council it is ensured that parents are also aware of ESF policy matters that may affect our students.
