CIRCLE IN THE WATER – ARTS FESTIVAL: DAY 8
The final day of the Circle in the Water – Arts Festival saw a collaboration of sorts. Students at WIS also celebrated Cultural Day simultaneously and so, many fantastic performances took place at lunchtime to merge the two. Students dressed up in traditional garb and the day started with a cultural breakfast with their form tutors.
Later on, a troop of African drummers touring around Asia stopped by to put on a workshop during the day and taught keen students this ancient art. During their incredible lunchtime performance, they were joined by a group of girls who danced to the drumbeats in a traditional fashion. There were many more performances that took place ranging from various dance forms to singing.
Our thanks to all the students for dressing up and participating, and to all the staff involved in putting on such an elaborate day.
