Special Mention: Katie de Vos

West Island School is proud to announce a rowing success for upper school student, Katie de Vos. Recently, Katie came 1st in the Women’s 8 race and additionally, placed 1st in the Women’s U-18 Indoor Rowing Championship with the 3rd fastest time at 2km for all women’s age groups at 7 minutes 41 seconds at Shing Mun.

In order to train and prepare for the competition, Katie has had to manage her own fitness program and training without any coaching support.

Her keen attitude and determination to succeed is commendable.
