Special Mention: Mahir Pasha

West Island would like to commend Mahir Pasha on his recent participation at the HK Debutants’ Ball (the Romanov Ball) organised by  the Russian Community in Hong Kong. The fundraising event hoped to raise funds and support of terminally ill children in Moscow who belong to the only functioning hospice, First Children’s Hospice (www.childrenshospice.ru). Held back in March at the Shangri-La Hotel, the event went on to raise $155,000 HKD.

WIS would like to congratulate Mahir as he worked very hard to assist with the fundraising and additionally, spent many hours over the last few months learning ballroom dancing.
