parent workshop by SNHK: Parenting from Inside Out

SNNHK has planned one final talk before the summer holiday break. We are excited to let you know Kim Barthel, an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of experience, will be speaking on “Parenting from the Inside Out,” on Thursday, 16 June 2016 at Bridge Academy.

“Parenting from the Inside Out,” refers to the dynamic of getting past the blocks of just seeing our child’s behavior or disability, to appreciating what is going on with our kids from their point of view. Kim will address our child’s emotional and cognitive strengths, balanced emotional states for optimum learning, strategies for providing support to children and how the parent-child relationship affects brain development. Come and hear a world-renowned teacher and therapist speak on how we, as parents, can better understand and support our children.
