Dynasty Day and WIS Bake Off 2016 Round Up
Friday 9 September saw the first Dynasty Day of the academic year. Yuan and Tang were the hosts and what great hosts they were! A sea of purple and green bedecked the school’s many floors, with music, dance and lots of eating enjoyed by all.
A huge thank you also to student and staff leaders of our overseas service projects, who supported the day, every homemade lemonade sold has made a difference.
We can now confirm that the school on this day raised a total of: 32,203.60 HKD
Every penny raised goes towards our overseas community partners in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Masarang, Cebu and Thailand. We are committed to supporting such projects, going beyond the Horizons Week, ensuring that we are committed to providing aid, which is sustainable and has positive impact.
Yuan and Tang are the two Dynasties which are devoted to raising funds for these projects.
Han is devoted to Crossroads
Ming is committed to Food Angel
Song is working to raise funds for the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children
Qing is ensuring that provision is sufficient for our CAS project ‘Kowloon Street Sleepers’.
We also saw the first WIS Bake Off, with over 70 entries and 15 judges’ palates tested. A range of incredible savoury bakes and sweet tarts and cakes, all created by our very own students and parents. All bakes were very much appreciated by all and all sold, the monies raised contributed to the grand total raised for the Yuan and Tang Day.
The much awaited results of the first WIS Bake Off are as follows.
