WIS Learning Centre vs SIS Learning Centre – Friendly Football Match

On Wednesday 7 June, the WIS Learning Centre team invited the South Island School Learning Centre team for a friendly football match. The students were excited as we had crowds cheering them on and even a mini cheerleading squad. It was great to see our students  welcome South Island School team with opening arms and introducing themselves to one another showing compassion.

We started off with the friendly match beating South Island School 9-2, Thomas Shirley scoring 7 goals and Sumer scoring the final 2 in the last few minutes. The team showed immense team effort and support to one another. Students were excited and commented on it being “challenging ” yet “fulfilling” especially when all of the students managed to score more goals during the penalty kick.

All the students had great fun and we will hopefully be turning this joyous event into an annual event inviting more schools next time round.
