RTHK’s Public Speaking Competition

Want to participate in RTHK’s public speaking competition, with the chance to appear on TV and win a laptop?

RTHK runs a public speaking competition called The Speaker. 50 schools around HK take part by nominating 5 students from Year 7-13 who deliver a 1 ½ minute speech on this year’s theme: ‘Connect / Disconnect’.

If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will have the opportunity to develop your speech further and deliver it to the judging panel at RTHK studios.

If you wish to take part, please contact Ms Kitson (samantha.kitson@wis.edu.hk) with a clear plan (approximately 5 bullet points) for your speech before 2 September.

Your outline will be used to select the school’s 5 nominees.
