WIS at Brain Bee Competition

Last weekend, the Hong Kong Brain Foundation ran their inaugural Brain Bee Competition with the aim of fostering neuroscience knowledge in young people and promoting public awareness of brain health and diseases. The written test was based on Brain Facts”, and “Neuroscience: the Science of the Brain” prepared by the Society for Neuroscience

Four WIS students – Jessica Tsang, Harshita Shree, Winston Lam and Anaya Sirothia – competed and Winston attained one of the top 5 scores in Hong Kong! He has qualified for the final and been invited to a three-day series of mentoring and workshops with professors of biomedical sciences, neuropathology and neurobiology from CUHK and Baptist U.

Congratulations to all participants for taking on this challenging topic which isn’t usually covered before IB level, and particularly to Winston for his outstanding score!
