A Grade Netball Season Results
This netball season was an incredibly successful one for West Island School’s A1 Girls Netball team. After losing to the remarkable South African touring team early in the season, they worked extremely hard in every one of their Tuesday morning training sessions, defeating most teams in the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation pool by a significant margin. Their grit and outstanding ability to work as a team shone through in the game against Hong Kong International School, where they won 10-9. In the semi-finals, they were narrowly defeated by Chinese International School 23-21, one of the closest games of the season. Although St. Paul’s School claimed 3rd place during the finals, they kept their defense up and their spirits high, attaining a well-deserved 4th place out of 13 teams. A massive thank you to Ursula and Mrs Luck, without whom this success would not have been possible.
The A2 Girls Netball team raised their game against a strong KGV team in the play-offs, winning 15-11. A great 3rd place finish to a fun season. Congratulations and well done to the girls for their hard work all season and thank you to Mrs Luck for her coaching and encouragement.
