Asthma is a condition in which inflammation, sensitivity and narrowing of the airways reduces the flow of air in and out of the lungs causing breathlessness and wheezing.

FACT: In Hong Kong, a third of secondary students suffer from asthma, allergies or eczema.
Allergies are the body’s hypersensitive response to an allergen. Some common allergies include:
- Food (tree nuts, peanuts, dairy etc)
- Bites/stings (wasps, bees, spiders)
- Medication
Reaction can be mild to severe. Anaphylaxis is the most severe allergic reaction and is potentially life threatening.
