Big win for WIS at ISSFHK Cross Country Championships

The culmination of the WIS Cross Country season took place on Wednesday 15 February under the lovely sunshine at Pui O Beach, Lantau. Eighty runners plus four staff traveled to the ISSFHK Championships to represent WIS in the last race of the running season.

After 6 months of preparation in the HKSSF and the recent ISSFHK race calendar our talented and resilient runners took to the beach and buffalo paths behind Pui O to compete in the U12, U14, U16 and U16 categories.

With too many individual performances to highlight WIS came out on top winning U14 boys & girls, U16 boys + girls and U20 girls categories. U20 boys coming in a close second position in their race.

Overall this meant that yet again WIS left coming first in the overall Championships which is a great achievement for all.

The WIS PE department is very proud of all the runners that took part in this seasons training and races and looks forward to next years squad of runners.
