CAS in Term 2

Dear Parent,

Term 2 CAS activity sign up up will commence on Friday 8 December (6:00pm) and close on Wednesday 13 December (6:00pm). Please note, we have changed the sign up time to 6:00pm to enable our students to spend time, with support from their parent/guardian and find opportunities that they wish to engage in and develop aspects that they feel will be enjoyable and challenging.

Please be aware of a couple of important considerations during the CAS sign up process;

• Take your time when choosing your activities and do not overcommit to too many – it is important to maintain a balance between extra-curricular endeavours and academic studies.
• Only the student can sign up for CAS activities via Gateway. Parents can only view activities via their Gateway account.
• It is important to strive for a balance between, Creativity, Activity and Service activities. Please remember that there are three terms to experience all three strands.

Please be aware that any paid CAS activity, the start date for most of the activities will be in the week of 15 January. Also there will be no activity in the last week of the Term. All details of start and finish dates will be displayed in CAS sign up details.

CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development.

A meaningful CAS programme is a journey of discovery of self and others. For many, CAS is profound and life-changing.

Each individual student has a different starting point and different needs and goals. A CAS programme is, therefore, individualised according to student interests, skills, values and background.
