Equestrian Team at Tuen Mun Competition
The West Island School Equestrian team competed in the Tuen Mun Interschool Warm Up competition on 26 October. They had a great day despite a few hiccups for Meghan and Kira due to horse changes.
The day ended on a positive note with Jade winning third overall which was a great personal achievement.
In Hong Kong, most the students partaking in the competitions are do not have their own horses, so many times riders are put on horses they have never ridden before. This gives them a healthy challenge and a great experience but can sometimes create a disadvantage too.
Overall the day was a great success and our team is looking forward to the next interschool challenge which will be show jumping on 7 December.
