Evening of Dance

On Wednesday 13 March, students from across the school community took to the stage to share a snapshot of their Dance experience.

Throughout the course of the evening, audiences were treated to the creativity and technical skill of GCSE dancers who showcased both lesson and exam work in a range of styles, including contemporary and hip hop.

The IB dance group brought the global dance world to West Island School as they performed a piece based on Brazilian dance styles, which had been inspired by a recent workshop with the Hong Kong School of Capoeira.

There were over 50 students that performed and it was a real celebration of the diversity of dance that we explore in lessons, Momentum Dance Company and that forms a part of our own lives.
