Excellent WIS Results at HK Budding Poets

West Island School has yet again outdone themselves with outstanding results in the Hong Kong Budding Poets Competition which took place on April 18. The event is hosted by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and the competition invites students to take part in a number of rounds involved in creative writing and poetry. West Island entered ten students and is proud to announce that all ten students were awarded in the final stages.

Naomi Tang was named the Champion and received the Poet of the Year Award.
Yip Grace was awarded the first runner-up title, while both Eve Messervy and Vanessa Yeung were named second runner-ups.
Merits were given to: Ria Borger, Eleanor Cheung, Jun Kim Min, Bianca Reyes, Ethan Saw and Sai Sure.
Dorothy Lee, Isis Lee and Wa Shiu Hei were given Commendations.
Improviser of the Year was given to Bianca Reyes.

Congratulations to all the winners! This is remarkable achievement for the great writing talent at West Island.
