Great Britain’s Hockey Gold Medalists at WIS

This week, West Island was lucky and honoured to welcome Helen & Kate Richardson-Walsh, team members of Great Britain’s Hockey squad who won Gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The Olympians first spoke to Pre 16 students about their journey to the Olympics, their experiences at the renowned competition and life after the Olympics. They were intrigued by the many interesting questions students asked during a Q&A session which took place towards the end of the talk.

In the afternoon, the pair ran a Hockey Coaching Clinic for our Hockey Team and provided students with great tips, advice and techniques.
