WIS at HKSSF Indoor Rowing 2018

It has been a roller coaster ride for the HKSSF Indoor Rowing Competition this year with a war time bomb discovery behind the stadium the night before the competition. All events on day one was cancelled, which included the 500m and 1000m.

However day two went on as scheduled, with Alessandro Systerman and Mikkel Christensen competing in the A grade boys 2000m individual event. Alessandro completed the race in a time of 6:49.7 placing him 3rd with Mikkel placing 5th with a time of 6:51.6.

The next event was the 4x500m relay, while the B grade boys team (Jason Lee, Swiss Dungthip, Scott Bruce, and Anthony Aldcroft) managed a very good time of 6:41.0, they were unfortunately disqualified due to an early change over.

A grade boys team (Alessandro Systerman, Mikkel Christensen, Harmeet Bhatia, and Kiran Kakala) managed a time of 6:12.6 placing them 4th in the 4x500m event.

Overall the A grade boys were the champions this year finishing with 84 points.
