Hong Kong Brain Bee Competition by HKBF
The Hong Kong Brain Foundation (HKBF) is holding the first Hong Kong Brain Bee Competition in 2018 to foster neuroscience knowledge in youngsters and to promote public awareness of brain health and diseases.
All student participants will do a written quiz in April/May on knowledge of basic neuroscience, the human brain and health-related neurological conditions. The outstanding candidates will then be invited to join a tuition programme provided by local scientists and scholars in neuroscience, and then attend a viva in May/June.
To prepare for the written test and viva (both conducted in English), participants should read the book Neuroscience: the Science of the Brain and the booklet Brain Facts, both available for free download at the links provided.
The competition is open to students aged 14 – 18; if you are interested, please see Ms Isaac or Ms Kitson for further information before 27 September, 2017.
