Hong Kong Budding Poets 2019 – Winners

In addition to our success in the the Hong Kong Young Writer’s Award 2019, West Island continue to impress in Hong Kong wide writing competitions.

For this year’s Hong Kong Budding Poets, Jingyu Chew won the overall competition and is a Gold medal winner in the Open Section.WIS was also represented by students who won in the Silver category while Gayathri Eyunni was a Bronze medalist. 

The English faculty would like to commend these outstanding writers for their fantastic achievement.

Their poems will be published in the 2019 Yearbook.
