Learning Centre Camp Trip to Nam Shan Campsite

On Friday 9 March, seven students from the Learning Centre went to Nam Shan Campsite for a camping trip.

We went on the camping trip for our Step up and ASDAN courses and to develop our social skills. When we arrived at the campsite we used teamwork skills to set up the tents and helped each other to make sure we were settled for the night.

Next we went to Bathers Restaurant for lunch on the beach. The food was delicious and tasty and the weather was warm and sunny. Back at the campsite we played games and talked to each other about Horizons Week, music and the school fair. As a team we collected leaves and twigs for the campfire. In the evening we cooked sausages and burgers on the gas stove. After dinner we sat around the campfire to make s’mores before going to bed.
