Learning Centre Party to Celebrate End of Year!
Laughter, culinary delights, and celebrations. All elements of a wonderful evening at the Learning Centre Social on Thursday 21 June attended by many students, parents, teachers, wider school staff, friends as well as incoming year 6 students and alumni.
It was a time to acknowledge the growth, development and maturity of our students as they have achieved considerable milestones over the year. Year 13 students Thomas Shirley and Brian Chiu demonstrated their excellent skills on the microphone as the hosts for the evening, welcoming guests and introducing the entertainment and speeches that took place.
Kirsten Thomas and Darius Wong demonstrated their musical talents on the piano as guests entered the party. There was also a wonderful performance by Anais Scott-Giles who sang ‘What About Us’ by Pink.
In addition to the music, the evening sported delicious food, a photo booth and lots of enthusiastic dancing.
The year 13 leavers also gave speeches to commemorate their years at West Island School.
Have a great summer everyone!
