New GCSE grading
The UK government has ordered a change to GCSE examinations which will be graded on a new 9-1 scale. This is being phased in and will be fully implemented by 2020. The new scale will allow the examination board to better differentiate between candidates. Some iGCSE examinations will also be graded on the 9-1 scale.
This means that WIS learners will have letter grades for some of their examinations and a number grade for others. Here is a website explaining the changes to UK GCSE grading. Universities are fully aware of these changes.
