Principal’s Message
Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Friends of WIS,
This week, I was delighted to attend “An Evening of Dance”, held on the WIS school grounds. Students from Momentum and Wired WIS Dance Companies performed alongside students from the curriculum areas of GCSE Dance, IB Dance and BTEC Performing Arts. The school has incorporated dance over a number of years and it is an area of growth and pride. I was particularly proud of the diverse choreography achieved by the students and the creative flair the students showed. Students and parents appreciated the passion and inspiration of Ms Hudson who oversaw the evening. It was an excellent night.
As we move towards the end of term two, I wish to alert you to the “ESF Stakeholder Survey” which is a bi-annual survey sent to all staff, students and parents within the ESF. The completion of the survey and the results are used by the school and ESF to consider what needs to be developed further in terms of strengths of the school and additionally, what needs to be changed. We use the survey to further our planning here at WIS and I will be sharing the results with School Council. However, the data cannot be used if we do not have a strong response from all stakeholders as all voices are important. Can I ask that you take the 10 -15 minutes needed to complete the survey to express your views as where there is a large consensus of opinion, we will listen and work to improve or develop.
Finally, as I write we are ready and waiting for the School Fair tomorrow – we are keeping optimistic about the weather. It promises to be a wonderful day with many student stalls and events. The proceeds always come back to the school and our development, as well as our Service Committee charities and clubs, so you can rest assured you will have fun while you support your child too.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Yours,
Jane
