Qing & Song Day – Summer Holidays!

On Friday 18 May, West Island School celebrated Qing and Song Dynasty Day with an eventful spectacle of Summer madness.

Supporting a number of our school linked charities including Bethune House, The SRDC and Feeding HK, the Dynasty Leaders were hard at work preparing a ‘Teachers Got Talent’ performance stage, fun dodgeball, an art attack stall, the traditional bake sale and many more opportunities to buy refreshing drinks and other items.

The school was coloured orange and yellow in support of our two dynasties in charge but a summer theme ran throughout with flowery shirts and surf clothing seen all over the corridors. A fantastically HOT day supported by the teaching staff and students alike which saw over $16,000HKD raised for our three charities!

On the back of our official ‘Domestic Helpers Day’ in support of Bethune House which took place only 4 days earlier on the Monday, WIS came together once again to celebrate with each other and raise money for some fantastic causes.
