Robert Carmichael Receives St Andrew’s Society JRM Smith Scholarship
Congratulations to Robert Carmichael who received the JRM Smith Scholarship from the St Andrews Society Hong Kong.
Robert was nominated by the school for his commitment to school life in the broadest sense. He has displayed a genuine interest in both himself and the development of others, demonstrated by his role as a Dynasty Leader during his Year 10 and 11 school years. In his academic subjects, his teachers comment positively upon his reflective nature and desire to always improve his understanding of a subject. He reads extensively in order to be up to date on topics being learned and has a thirst to go deeper into particular subjects. As a Dynasty Leader, Robert has always participated with enthusiasm to support charity fundraising and “Dynasty Spirit”. He is confident and able to get the school demonstrating support for their Dynasty during sports days, swim galas, school fairs and school events. In support of our wider community, Robert has spent time teaching local school children in our government schools the English language through our TEFL local link. For his own personal development, Robert has an interest in fitness attending a Sports Leadership programme, Rugby training and swim coaching.
Robert received the award last week in a ceremony at St Andrew’s Society.
Well done Robert – well deserved!
