Roche Young Scientist Award 2017

The School of Science at HKUST runs the Roche Young Scientist Award each year to “promote the importance of innovation and science education, and encourage Hong Kong students to develop creative ideas for the improvement of people’s well-being based on scientific knowledge.”
They are inviting teams of three students from any year group to submit a a 3-minute video showcasing a scientific experiment, invention or discovery that can improve the health of people in our community.
Students selected as the top 15 teams will have a chance to exhibit their innovative projects, and receive unique training on science communications and mentorship from HKUST student mentors for presenting their ideas in front of judges, teachers, fellow students and general public.
The winning team and their teacher will receive a fully paid educational trip to Roche Headquarters in Switzerland, the global health science incubator famous for developing innovative life-saving treatments.
