Senior WIS Chef Finals 2017

The WIS Senior Chef Finals for this year took place on Monday 15 May, with Nimisha Deva, Priyanka de Manny and Kenton fighting it out for the much treasured spot at the ESF Chef Finals which take place at the end of the month. All three super chefs were focused; there was no stopping them as the allocated two hours flew by. The atmosphere was calm, supportive and what we witnessed and tasted was truly inspirational.

With Brett, our Australian Masterchef Quarterfinalist, his wife, Lisa and daughter judging, it was going to be tough gig. High standards, high expectations! We were not disappointed.

Nimisha dished up a very delicious prawn paella, seasoned beautifully, followed by red velvet cupcakes. Priyanka presented a prawn risotto with a chocolate bunt cake to die for. Kenton was going all Japanese, with tuna cooked three ways and a pork katsu. As you can imagine, a very hard time was had deciding on the placings.

The ESF Chef Finals are taking place on Friday 26 May at West Island, where Kenton, and our Junior Pairs Winners, Dorothy Tang and Alicia Tran will be competing against KGV, Sha Tin College, Island, SIS and Discovery College.
