Special Mention: Virginie Ding

Year 8 student, Virginie Ding, has been making waves and reaching heights as golfer.  Last month, Virginie participated in the Dr. George Choa Cup – a team event by Invitation only.  This tournament took place on the 23 and 24 December, and Virginie‘s team secured 1st place for Nett category. Additionally,  last year Virginie took part in the 2015 Winter Junior Championship only to be crowned the Overall Girls Champion.

This week, Virginie was invited to participate in the 2016 HK Amateur Golf Ladies Open, and in addition, next week, she will head to Arizona where she will attend the American Junior Golf Association Junior All-Star Tournament.

We wish Virginie the very best and we know she will do very well in representing West Island at all her golfing events.
