Special Mention: Xaviera Artaza

West Island School would like to congratulate Xaviera Artaza on yet another publishing success.

Xaviera is an intern journalist for the Harbour Times and her piece from last year, ‘Disenfranchised: Education for non-Chinese-speaking children in Hong Kong‘ was largely appreciated by readers. The piece has now been accepted in the Human Rights Press Awards, run by Amnesty International. This is a huge success for Xaveria and a great accomplishment.

She awaits the outcome in May but in the meantime, we would like to applaud her for a great success and wish her all the best!
