Susie Orbach visits WIS
As part of the Hong Kong International Literary Festival’s initiative to bring writers to schools for talks and workshops, creating unique opportunities for young people to meet some of the world’s greatest storytellers, Susie Orbach visited WIS on November 9.
Dubbed as “Britain’s most famous psychotherapist” by the Times of London, Susie has written numerous books including Fat Is a Feminist Issue, Hunger Strike, Bodies and In Therapy. She is also the recipient of the first Life Time Achievement Award in 2017 from The British Psychoanalytic Council.
Addressing Year 12 students in an interesting session, Susie spoke about ‘Fat Is a Feminist Issue’, mental health and body image.
