Swim Gala & Sports Festival 2016 – Friday September 30

The annual Swimming Gala and Sports Festival will take place on Friday, 30 September 2016 between 9.00am and 1.20pm. There will be no lessons that day and so students do not need to bring their bags to the Gala. Students may come to school in PE kit and should register as usual at 8.15am. Year 7 – Year 9 students should wear flip-flops as the preferred footwear for the Swimming Gala.

Students should bring sunscreen and every student is expected to wear a hat. All Year 7 students must wear their school caps to the event. They should also bring plenty of water and snacks with them, make sure they hydrate properly and eat breakfast before coming to school.

There will be an opportunity for all students to ‘swim for a dynasty point’ so the correct swimming costume is required. Finalists and relay swimmers are required to wear a Dynasty swim hat and arrive at the marshal on time. The programme of events is available here.

School buses will collect students at the end of the Swimming Gala from the Hong Kong University site in Sandy Bay at approximately 1.20 pm.

This is a great opportunity to get in the pool, earn points for your Dynasty and to train! Parents are invited to attend and support the event.
