WIS Alumni Anshuman Rath Scores 97 for HK Cricket Team

Last week, the Hong Kong Cricket Team played a victorious and outstanding game of cricket during the One-Day Internationals against Scotland. Hong Kong were bowled out at 49.1 overs and put up a whopper 259 runs for the Scottish team to defeat. Hong Kong went on to then bowl out Scotland for 150 runs in 39.1 overs. But it was WIS Alumni Anshuman Rath who won huge accolades for his great knock of 97 runs from 136 balls.

The big win not only marks the first official One Day International win, but Rath’s 170 runs with captain Nizikhat Khan was also a record breaking partnership for the team.

Congratulations to the Hong Kong Team and to West Island’s own Anshuman! We are sure we will hear of many more such accomplishments.
