WIS Arena Gym Athlete of the Month – May 2018

The WIS Arena Gym Athlete of the Month (AGAM) for May 2018 goes to Alessandro Systerman.

Alessandro needs no introduction as he is our new head student as well as an overall outstanding athlete in many sports and he has represented WIS in rugby, football, cross country, athletics, and indoor rowing. Alessandro has been training in the Arena Gym since Year 10 and his dedication in training has truly paid off.

In particular for Indoor Rowing, he took part in the HKSSF competition 1000m in Year 10 placing 9th, 2000m in Year 11 placing 3rd and 2000m again in Year 12 placing 3rd. Not only has he improved each year (shown by his new PB’s), he also played a big part in helping the A grade team win the Overall champion this year.

Alessandro has been a most consistent athlete, whether inside or outside of gym training, and is truly a great role model for all students to follow.

Well done Alessandro, keep up the good work.
