WIS at 24 Hour Race
Last weekend, four teams made up of a total of 32 WIS students participated in the annual student-led 24 Hour Race at the Peak, Lugard Road. It was tiring but rewarding as all students were able to support a cause very close to their hearts.
This annual student-led race held in Hong Kong aims to raise awareness about human trafficking and modern slavery. Over $58,000 was raised as funds to support anti-slavery NGOs.
Runners took it in turns to run with their baton around the 3 km Peak Circular Route throughout the 24 hours, many of them running the equivalent of more than half a marathon throughout this time!
Well done to everyone who participated in the event and particularly to Evie Ng for organising the WIS representative teams and thank you to all the staff and parents who came up to help throughout the event!
