WIS At Youth Dash 2016
Hosted by Standard Chartered, the Hong Kong Marathon 2016 – Youth Dash is an event that brings together students aged 12-15 as they compete to finish a 2.2km race. The race takes place on the same day as the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2016. Organisers hope students will partake and display their marathon spirit as they cultivate an interest in running, promote a healthy lifestyle and positive energy. This year it took place on Sunday, January 17.
Year 9 student, Hayley Lai, took part in the 2016 Youth Da
sh and placed a whopping 144 out of 359 with a time of 10 minutes 52 seconds. Displaying true grit and spirit, she was seen crossing the finish line representing West Island School beautifully!
