WIS Breast Cancer Awareness Week 2017 – Pink Week!

In support of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and to spread the message of Breast Cancer awareness WIS celebrated another Pink Week last week which turned out to be a huge success!

Students and staff worked really hard preparing for the culmination of the week, Pink Day (Friday), baking pink cakes, brownies and cupcakes in addition to organising their mini-triathlon teams to participate in the Swim-Row-Run challenge! Friday saw the whole school turn pink and the community come together to support the work the HKBCF do for women all over Hong Kong. Over 30 bakes were donated to the lunchtime sale and over 240 students took part in the mini-triathlon.

An incredible effort by WIS saw a huge $30,000HKD raised for the HKBCF and just a wonderful occasion for everyone to come together. Thank you to Girl Up, the Dynasty Leaders, Mr Madden, Ms Craig, Simon, Chi, Ms Mulchandani and especially Megan Wells, Victoria Lawrence and Mariam Farooq for their tireless work behind the scenes making this week happen.
