WIS Christmas Fair & Concert 2018!
As we continue the festive season, we would love to invite you for an evening of festive celebrations and shopping at West Island School’s annual Christmas Fair and Concert on Wednesday 12 December. The Fair will start at 4:00 pm at the 3/F foyer, while the Concert is scheduled from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm in the auditorium. Students have worked very hard to provide a wonderful event for us all to enjoy – and we would love you to come along share these festive celebrations with us.
The Concert is a ticketed event but free of charge. Parents are however requested to RSVP for it in advance. There may tickets available on the door but we suggest you reserve to avoid disappointment!
The Christmas Fair will have something for the whole family! Major attractions to include –
- Student-run arts, crafts, games and competition stalls
- Private vendor stalls offering a variety of gifts and goodies
- Wonderful seasonal baking and refreshments, and
- Live performances from students and staff!
The Christmas Concert (starting at 6:30 pm) will feature performances of Christmas sing-along classics and traditional carols. Groups and ensembles performing include: Sinfonia, Jazz Band, WIS Singers, Sax Ensemble, Cantare, Amadeus Strings, Clarinet Ensemble, invited soloists and guest performers from the “Elf: The Musical” cast.
Refreshments including mulled wine and mince shorties will be provided by the PTA and will be available to purchase (cash bar) before the concert.
It has been a long term at West Island School and we are looking forward to celebrating with the students and parents at this joyous occasion!
