WIS Creativity at its Best at the 2017 Art Show

Art provides an escape from the routine of everyday life. The 2016-17 group of Visual Arts students has each in their own personal way used their art time to explore their ideas and become more aware of themselves and world around them.

They have learned about beauty, atmosphere, mood, and how to express their feelings and ideas. This is what their teachers care about and what sustains art-making motivation. The process we teach is inquiry based, experimental, evaluative and is all about making discerning creative decisions. Which materials, what scale, which style? How to create effects and imagery that has been conceived or imagined?

Visitors to WIS ART SHOW 2017 have enjoyed the astonishing variety and depth of the art works. Congratulations to our students of 2017. May your road ahead be guided by your independent, informed and creative decision-making.
