WIS Host SIS for Friendly Debate Competition

On Thursday 23 February, WIS hosted South Island School for a friendly debating competition. The junior teams debated whether artificial intelligence is the enemy which WIS agreed with.  The seniors teams argued whether fake news was destroying democracy.

In the junior debate, the WIS team were declared the winner.  Both teams had members who were debating for the first time and both teams performed exceptionally well.

In the seniors debate, the arguments were determined to be too close to call and so, a re-match will be held as soon as possible.
