WIS Students at Hong Kong Race Week

West Island students excelled over the last four days racing at Hong Kong Race Week. 

The group participated in a mix of conditions finished by a full on day of winds gusting up to 30 knots on Sunday. 

Thibault Minne, Adam Pheasant, Karrie Clark, Lewis Clark and Dylan Richardson all excelled in their various events. 

Thibault finishing 1st in the 420 fleet and Karrie finishing 3rd in the 29er fleet, and now are in contention for a spot at the Youth Worlds in Poland hosted by World Sailing in the summer. 

Adam and his helm sailed brilliantly in the heavy winds rewarding them with a 2nd overall in the 29er fleet. 

Lewis and Dylan only sailed for 3 days of the event, and worked tirelessly to push themselves up to 4th place on the last day. 

A tremendous effort from them all!
