WIS Students Named Commended Students by National Merit Scholarship Corporation

West Island School would like to congratulate and celebrate three Post 16 Students: Emily Ketchum, Lee Phillips and Matthew Mo on scoring in the top three percentile on the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test which took place last October.

Over 1.6 million students took the test last year. The top 34,000 scorers are now being named Commended Students and are being recognised for their exceptional academic promise.

A Letter of Commendation from WIS and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the programme, was presented to these students by Mr Sammons.

We would like to recognise their achievements and their outstanding potential for academic success.
