WIS Students Organise IBET Sports Day
On Buddha’s birthday, WIS students volunteered to organise and run a Sports Day for children attending Integrated Brilliant Education Trust (IBET). They planned meticulously in the months running up to the event which ensured the smooth running of the morning. WIS students were enthusiastic throughout and kept the IBET students engaged and smiling all morning. It was a real learning experience for our students who wrote in their reflections:
‘I have learnt many valuable lessons through the day such as being organized and getting to the point quickly when explaining is key. I was really glad I had carefully planned my activity before the day or else it would have been a disaster not knowing what to do as kids have short attention spans’. – Year 10 Student
‘I learnt how easy it is to help people.’ – Year 9 Student
‘You have to have an affirmative voice and put 100% effort in, get the kids enthusiastic otherwise things may not go as smoothly.’ – Year 12 Student
Well done WIS Students, you did an excellent job!
