WIS U14 Football Update
The C grade team have been involved in the ISSF competition and have managed to qualify for the semi finals on November 2. Below is an update from captain Kevin Zhou. Many thanks to Mr Cornes for coaching.
WIS 2-0 CDNIS:
This was our first proper game together in a while but I think we communicated well and got our roles sorted efficiently.
WIS 12-0 KCCIS:
It was a tough first few minutes, they were a decent side, but we fought hard and came out on top, 4 or 5 nil up at half-time, we were definitely the fitter side, stronger and faster, so it made the game a lot easier.
CIS 0-2 WIS:
Again, a rough start, we knew they were tough opposition, I think the squad was slightly nervous in the beginning but goals from Jay and Jimmy sealed the win. Matt got sent off, everyone got a chance to play. We are on top form leading up to what may be the hardest game yet against HKIS.
HKIS 4-1 WIS
HKIS were a strong team and individual mistakes did not help. Many lessons were hopefully learnt.
WIS 12-2 Island School:
We had a huge squad of over 30 players so we regularly did 7 on and 7 off switches. We dominated the game throughout the entire match, our attack was very strong with several players scoring hat-tricks. The first team we had on was more defensive, the second team we brought on had too many attacking players and therefore we conceded two goals.
We have another game against DSC after half-term break before the semi final.
