WIS Win Bill Williams 7s Competition
The annual Standard Chartered Bill Williams 7s competition was held at Kings Park on Friday 26 January, where West Island School had both boys and girl’s representative sides in this year’s A Grade competition.
The tournament was well attended with schools from all over Hong Kong producing a very tough competition throughout.
WIS boys had a great tournament going undefeated all day in the group stages and recording only one defeat, unfortunately, it was in the boy’s final against an equally strong South Island School. It was a disappointing end to what has been a very successful season for the A Grade boys this year.
The girl’s competition was full of action, again our girls were unbeaten all day in the group stages and headed into the final hoping to cap off an unbeaten season in all competitions. The occasion did not matter, the girls produced yet another fine display of flowing rugby to record a double; the inter-school’s competition and the Bill Williams 7s trophy.
A hugely successful team and well done to everyone involved.
