Year 10 Mindfulness & Study Skills Workshop, Tuesday 15 May, 5 – 7 PM

A reminder that on Tuesday 15th May 5 – 7 PM, Mr Hewson and I will be holding a workshop on mindfulness and study skills for year 10 students and parents. If you would still like to attend then please complete this Google Form.

The mindfulness workshop will be from 5 to 5.50 PM and led by an external coach with a focus on the following:
1. An introduction about how mindfulness and meditation are linked and can be defined.
2. How meditation can support the focus of a student in their academic studies, revision and preparation for and during exams and tests (they will have mock exams after the new year of 2019).
3. An example of a meditation practice or two if time allows. This will be a takeaway activity where students can practice this at home.
From 6 – 7 PM, Mr Hewson and I will lead an interactive presentation on study skills and how students can make effective use of their time over the summer holidays with guidance and some revision practices for tests and mock examinations.
