Year 11 Revision Skills & Mindfulness Workshop for Students & Parents
Do you need help in supporting your child in the run up to GCSEs and with revision?
Would you like strategies that help stress-reduction?
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Year 11 revision skills & mindfulness workshop on Wednesday 7 March in the Auditorium.
Parents and students are welcome to attend all or parts of the workshop:
5pm – 5:50pm: Mindfulness Workshop with Alexa Massingham
6pm – 7pm: Revision Skills Workshop led by Ms Goodwin and members of the Guidance and Achievement team
Refreshments will be available.
For the Mindfulness workshop, please bring something you feel comfortable sitting on the floor wearing. Yoga mats will be available, you are welcome to bring towels or your own mat.
If you are unable to attend, your child is welcome to attend the Mind Body Matters Mindfulness session and/or the revision session.
Likewise if your child is not available, you are welcome to attend and gain an understanding of the concept of mindfulness for stress reduction, a brief experience of the practices that have been shared with students in their Learning for Life lessons and gain a better understanding of revision skills.
The aim is to ensure that students have a range of coping strategies to build their resilience, improve their mental health and revision skills and tools which they can draw upon during their remaining time in school and during the examination period and continue using in the future.
Please indicate your intended participation by filling in the attached the linked Google Form and whether you are going to attend the mindfulness workshop, revision skills workshop or both.
